The free hula show in Waikiki ! Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, there’s a chance for you to get a taste of Hawaiian culture right in the heart of Waikiki ! You’ll be treated to authentic Hawaiian music and Hawaiian dancing. The show starts off with a torch lighting ceremony and the blowing of a conch shell. The best part is that most of these classes are held in the Royal Hawaiian , which is roughly in the middle of the Waikiki strip so it’s easily accessible.

The Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki offers complimentary beginner classes in lei-making, ukulele, Hawaiian lomilomi massage, quilting and hula by kumu (teachers) sharing their expertise in each field.
The one-hour classes are limited to participants, so get there early. This is a free hula show that happens outside on Waikiki Beach on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings, weather permitting. We were already going to a luau later that week, so just stopped to watch a few minutes on our way to dinner.
While AHA’s curriculum is focused primarily on hula , our haumāna (students) also study ‘ōlelo Hawai’i (Hawaiian language), craft their own lei and implements, and prepare for our year-end performance. FREE HULA SHOW ON THE BEACH IN WAIKIKI Authentic Hawaiian music and hula shows by Hawaii’s finest halau hula (dance troupes) and Hawaiian performers. We visited on a Saturday to see this free cultural show from 6:30pm to 7:30pm There were performers of all ages and the male singer had an amazing voice. Great scenic location at Hula Mound Kuhio Beach.
Well worth seeing when in Waikiki. The Summer Fun Program will be offered on weekdays, 8:a. Wednesday July, through Tuesday, July (excluding the holiday on Friday, July 3).
We have classes , tours, assistance for seniors, emergency food pantry services, and a quality preschool. We provide assistance to those in need. The Waikiki Community Center is an important resource in Waikiki.
